Well, not sure where to start so I'll just get going on the questions first since they probably give you the best description of me/my character.


Age: 19
What you do on your free time: Play WoW and spend time with my girlfriend (currently searching for a job).
Where do you live: Sweden

How much FR do you have: 0 at the moment, going to start grinding FR gear asap.
What is your current spec and would you be able to respec on request: My current spec is 31/20 arms&fury but I would be able to respec into a great protection build at any time.
What class, race, char name and level are you: Level 60 Tauren Warrior named Uv
How long have you played wow/played time on this character: Played WoW since it came but had a long break, been back since 7 months ago now or so.
How much and what times do you play per week: Depends, since I have no guild I don't have any scheduled play times but I am able to work that out, usually play 3-4 days a week mosy during the evening/night.
Do you got any more chars: Only alts ranging from level 20-50
Do you have any previous MMO experiences: Lineage & Lineage II
Reason why you wanna join: I was originally part of Iscariot and Judas Iscariot that "migrated" into Valhalla, but I was left behind because of my gear and level at that time, I have friends in Valhalla and the people seem nice, I just like the guild :)
Do you know anyone in Valhalla: Yes, Ultimo, Gervantes, Nargashra and pretty much everyone that came into the guild from Iscariot.
Whats your expectations of Valhalla: End-game raiding, friendly people and a nice gaming environment.
What do you think you would provide to our guild: As my gear isn't the top still, I would probably be an assistant tank but later on, main tank as much as possible.
What previous guilds have you been in, and why did you leave them: Iscariot/Judas Iscariot and InFlameS, left the last one because of the immature people in it, no raiding and no active guild chat/community.
Any other information you might want to share with us: I have been doing frequent raids to UBRS lately to get the valor shoulders and chest but no luck with the drops so bear with me on my equipment since it will improve very soon :), I have also just recently looked up what items with +defense I might be able to get without doing raids and I will start on getting those as well.


What addons/programs do u need to be able to function properly in the guild?


Teamspeak and CTRaid, Teamspeak I already got because of Lineage II , the other one I'll read up on. GEM is what? :o


Are you attuned to the instances necessary to join?


Only to MC right now but I'm on the Quest to get attuned with BWL and going to do the Onyxia one as well.

Nice to see a tank application, many warriors wanna DPS these days


So what people do you know in valhalla?


If you are not planning on going for the Heroism stuff, I'd not recommend you to put too much effort into the Valor items from UBRS, as it is not the best tanking gear before MC. The Draconian deflector is a nice item, though.

Yeah well, tanking is way more fun imo :)


Gervantes, Ultimo and Nargashra are all friends of mine and pretty much the only ones I really talk to, but I played along with dodprest and other ones that came from iscariot.


I have 3 of the heroism parts right now but don't think I'm going for more, but since I still need draconian shield I might as well try to get the chest and the shoulders while at it.. I am going for the Ornate Adamantium Breastplate though, and many more of the items listed on the warrior tank page are already on my to get list :)

It's always nice to discuss with a fellow tank so I continue asking


What is your instance experience? Have you tanked all high instances (DM, BRD, LBRS, UBRS, Strat, Scholo)?


What is your playing style as a tank? For example, do you play ultra-safe with pulls backwards, are you the fast type that skips many groups, etc?


Is there anything you find hard as a tank?


Are you very theoretical regarding Wow, for example, do you read much about threat generation, can you compare 1% parry versus 15 defense, etc?


Sorry to bug you, if I understood rogues I would ask them such questions as well

Yes I have tanked all high instances before ZG/MC and so on, except for DM which I will start doing now to get some more tanking gear.


My play style depends alot on the group, if I know the people in the group I feel safe going a bit faster but if some of them have never been in the instance before or I don't know how they play I prefer to play safe with pulls.


Hard part, well.. I do find it hard to run around trying to take the aggro with taunt from people who constantly nuke targets I am not tanking :)


No not very theoretical, I go from my own experiences and prefer to learn the game out of my own views, thus if there is any valuable information I could use, I try to read up on it.

You seem like a very nice person, which is a great plus.


Your gear needs improvements, as you yourself say too. You would not survive long in MC with this gear. It would take some time to gear you up.


If you had the money, you could get the Enchanted thorium breastplate, legs and helm crafted. Otherwise you would need some DM runs.

Yeah I am well aware that my gear needs quite a big improvement, and I'm trying my best to work on it but right now with all the disconnect and latency issues it has been hard to do any instances, even the easier ones.


I do have some money, not sure how much those cost though and I don't know any armorsmith either :/

Ouch, bit expensive for me atm, just did a quick check over some tanking gear and realised that Deathbone (http://www.thottbot.com/?set=124) isn't too bad.


However I really can't get anything done now with all the problems with the server, can barely connect..

Just wanted to bump my post a bit and let you know that I'm now attuned with BWL/MC and very soon with Onyxia as well.


My gear has improved a little bit so it might be good to check my profile out again as soon as I update it (will do tonight). Adding +23 defense skill and 10fr or so to it.


 


However I'm leaving tomorrow to Prague (Czech republic) and will stay there for a week so I'll pop back and check here when I'm home again,

His gear might not that good, but UV are one of those players who allways play good! He was very active in our old guild Iscariot. A nice person who deffenitily (spelling steak) can play his character!
He fight for the guild, he dont need the guild to fight for him ^^

I know Uv quite well also and would vouch for him. Leveled up with him at a few stages and he was in Iscariot so knew him from there as well. Nice guy, knows his stuff.

[EDIT] Managed to upload some new profile data but still not the latest as I just got some more EQ, but I'm on about +47 defense skill and +36 fire res without buffs now
