Jakal - Death Knight DPS Application.
Permalink Closed

Age: 21

What Nationality do you have ? (its just nice to know): English

Link your profile (Armory or CT profile): http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=The+Maelstrom&n=Jakal

What class, race, char name and level are you: Death Knight, BE, Jakal, lvl 80

What is your current spec? (this is a PvE guild so if you currently are specced for PvP then link what you will spec if you join): I'm Frost DPS (17/51/3)

How long have you played WoW, and how long have you played with this character (meaning /played): about 90 days played in total and 20 on Jakal /played.

How much and at what hours do you play WoW per week: between 18:30 and 23:30 about 4 evenings a week Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and either Monday or Thursdays (it changes each week)

Does this mean you can raid 19:00-23 most weekdays and 19:00-23 on Sundays then? not really on sundays but in the week yes.

What are your previous endgame raiding experiences:
All of my exp is on my Warlock Savras apart from Naxx 10/25, OS on Jakal.

ZG: Vanilla lvl 60
AQ20: Vanilla lvl 60
MC: Vanilla lvl 60
BWl: Vanilla lvl 60
AQ40: Vanilla lvl 60
Naxx: Vanilla lvl 60

Do you have any more chars (We prefer your application to be with your main character since this is a endgame content raiding guild and we will use much of your WoW time): my lock Savras but he's just an alt now (still lvl 70)

Are you sharing your WoW account or toon with anyone. Meaning, can it happen that someone else then you are playing on the toon you are applying with? No

Reason why you wanna join:
I'm applying because i would like to join a competetive raiding guild that fits the times i can play wow. From what I've heard/read you guys seem like a mature group of people that are focused on raid progression. I want to join so that i can raid and have fun with some like minded people

Do you know anyone in Valhalla: I don't think so

Whats your expectations of Valhalla (elaborate pls): I expect the guild to handle raids maturely and effectively and be pushing to complete new content above all though i just expect to have a lot of fun ^^

What do you think you would provide to our guild (explaining a bit, again, would be good):

Progressing through endgame content is what I'm passionate about in wow, and hopefully if you guys accept me i'll bring determination and focus. Outside of raid times i'll farm for whatever consumables that i need.
What previous guilds have you been in, and why did you leave them:

Back in 2006 i joined Havoc because i wanted to become a Warlord ^^ back then i had a negative attitude towards pve, which was ridiculous since my only experience of it was pugging UBRS. (perhaps that explains the negativety i felt for pve) Anyway i decided i'd work my way up through the honor system. Havoc was still relatively new and if any of you where into pvp back then you may remember that by spring 2006 Havoc was the best pvp guild on the maelstrom, together with 2 (Wixxy and Nurf) other core members i lead premades everyday and all three of us were quickly promoted to officers. After some ridiculous time spent in BG's i achieved rank 13, after completing my goal in pvp i wanted to try the pve side of the game so i applied to Hellion and was accepted. Even though it felt like work sometimes i really enjoyed my time in Havoc so i was quite sceptical to see whether Hellion could top it. Shortly after i joined, Hellion had defeated twin emps in AQ40 and where on there way to server first C'thun. Being there for the endless wipes on that encounter and finally beating it I can safely say that i have never had a moment in wow that could top it and from then on i was completetly hooked on pve. Naxx was implemented in July 06' and i throughly enjoyed almost every fight we had in there (except Patch ><) Unfortunately after initial success in Naxx we began to struggle simply because people couldn't be arsed with progression and just wanted easy loot because TBC was on its way. I hate that attitude, I was offered a place in Voodoo the number 1 guild on the Executus realm. With these guys i continued to progress straight through Naxx (farming shadow prot potions for Loatheb ><) we got as far as 4 horsemen but TBC was released and Naxx was of course abandoned. I quit WoW just a few weeks after TBC was launched (which explains my lack of raid exp there) mainly because i didn't like what the the warlock class had become and i stopped enjoying the game. After two years i'm back and looking to get into raiding again.
Any other information you might want to share with us: Not really just that i'm eager to join and perform well under pressure and learn new encounters very quickly.

What addons/programs do u need to be able to function properly in the guild? just basic UI
stuff: bartender, classtimer, omen, recount, DBM etc.

Hey thanks for applying we will discuss your app and get back asap.

This post is just a quick summary of your gear

mixed gear, one blue, epix are 10mann, 25 and craftable
wep: titansteel destroyer.
bis darkmooncard greatness.
missing chants on two pieces.
not optimal gems.

stats:
9.55%hit
23.15%crit
3236 ap
8 expertise

quick note, you can safely remove some hitrating from 313 down to 263. and replace those gems with str gems. this will increase your damage most likely. For dk's it's usually better to gem str all the way and sometimes ignore ****ty socketbonuses, although this is easier with jc proffession.

Yeah I'm aware my gems aren't completely optimal at the moment and they're on the top of my list when i have the gold (still broke after farming for my Darkmoon Card lol) and i'm planning to drop herbalism and take up JC after i've used it to farm some more.

P.s i just got that deadly ring last night so thats why my hit is too high (didn't get chance to change some gems)

looking forward to your decision ^^
