Hi there, it was me you talked to yesterday, under the name of Konny.

I don't know Ele shammies, but your specc makes me curious, as you seem to have such a mix of elemental and enhancement talents.

Is this a specc you have invented yourself, or have you found it somewhere?

What I'm worried about, is that it somehow gives imba SP, but not imba DPS?

intresting specc...but i cant see why you have stormstrike and a melee weapon if you call yourself an elemental shaman

It sure gives imba SP but it aint worth 38 talent points, by far.

I think you would get alot more dps if you went full Elemental (but maybe 10 points in Enh; 5/5 Ancestral Knowledge, 5/5 Thundering Strikes.)

But ill leave that up to you, good luck with the application tho :)

As far as I know, pretty much pure elemental specc is the best... Though, enhancement is better dps :) That's atleast what I think.

TBC was my slacking time ;)
It took ages before i was 70 i even quit for a while (Zangarmarsh was too depressing =P)
When i was 70 i did some heroics ofc but when i had raid gear WotLK was out so ...

You see , dual wield is for the flametongue weapon enchant as you all know probably ?
Flametongue weapon gives about 150 SP on BOTH weapons with dual wield ;)

And since i can't wear SP off hand i just grabbed my enhancement gear off hand.

Stormstrike is for the 20% increased nature dmg.(stormstrike comes before mental quickness in talent tree so it figured why i put a talent point in that)

And the dps IS better than full elemental (I almost reach top dps in PuG's)

Oh and Ironface if you don't believe i played for 2-3 years , ask zette he will confirm ;)

Yes, it it of course nice to have high +damage but it will not matter much in raids as your +hit rating just too low. I am not sure how much a elemental shaman needs but i would expect that it should be between 250-350 to not miss to much. When I checked yours i think it was around 60ish. Do you have other gear that gives you +hit rating? There is quite alot of gear that can be bought for emblems that gives +hit.

How much +hit rating can you get up to with your gear and what does your +damage become then?

Also, as previous posters mentioned I rather suggest that you have a more points in elemental tree that gives the +spelldamage totem to the raid.

You current spec might be working good in 5man heroics but with the low hit rating and lack of raid buffs your current spec can supply it will not be a very good spec in raids. Whats your thoughts about this?

I totally agree on the fact i have low hit rating , and i will change this by getting some gear with emblems/heroics.

About the totem of wrath specc , i will consider this while watching my talent tree when i get online later this evening.

i most give you credit though for a fresh way to go elemental :) cant give much more feedback really since my knowledge of shammy is kinda low...but i kinda agree with Ash that the totem would be great for raids :)

But , IF it would determine wether i can or can't join,

How did you come up with the specc?

It takes a lot of knowledge to find a good specc, so finding one on the web is advisable, I'm sure http://elitistjerks.com/f79/ will give suggestions...

Accepted, whisper a trail.

Use the specc above, work on the hit rating, or we are worried you will miss a lot on bosses.
Discuss with shamans in guild for DPS rotations if you want.
