hello,
 I am making this application as a response on the activities in the trade channel, That Valhalla is recruiting several classes included a Holy Priest. After conversating with the person responsible ( I believe it was bigbono) about the possibilities for me and the guild, I have decided to apply. I shall answer your questions now.


Age:  16.

What Nationality do you have ? (its just nice to know): the Dutch nationality

What is your current spec? (this is a PvE guild so if you currently are specced for PvP then link what you will spec if you join): 20-41-0 ( IF COH specc, willing to change)

How long have you played WoW, and how long have you played with this character (meaning /played): I am playing WoW for 2 Years comming May, I have played for over 18 days on my priest now (18D14H4M at the moment of applying)

How much and at what hours do you play WoW per week:
Does this mean you can raid 18:30-23 most weekdays and 18:30-23 on Sundays then? I play wow about every evening, I can join the tuesday and sunday raid. I have to work till 1900 on thursday thus I could not join in time

What are your previous endgame raiding experiences: ( see bottom for pre-tbc) so far I have cleared karazahn and did a few bosses in zul'aman. Obviously you are not impressed by this. hence I seek a guild with whom to move on.

Do you have any more chars (We prefer your application to be with your main character since this is a endgame content raiding guild and we will use much of your WoW time): Just alts ( and I don't play alts a lot, definatly  during raid time)

Reason why you wanna join: I am looking for a guild with whom I can handle the 25 man content of WoW. also I always looked up to Valhalla members in terms of gear etc ( seeing them afk at the BG masters) also recently, I have found out that my raiding roots lay with Valhalla as well, more about that at the bottom, together with pre-tbc raiding expierence

Do you know anyone in Valhalla: not at all, but I am looking forward to meet them

Whats your expectations of Valhalla (elaborate pls): What I am expecting is to see a rather serious guild doing the 25 man PvE content. What I hope to see is a balanced raid that is based on the best combination of players instead of " Them them and them are always in even though they do not aid signifficantly" ( a reason why I want this can be found at 'what previous guilds have you been in') ofcourse I understand I can not always be part of the 'ideal' team.

What do you think you would provide to our guild (explaining a bit, again, would be good): as being Holy my Main task would ofcourse be to heal the raid ( If I am selected) on either a tank, the raid or anything  depending on my assigned task. secondary, a little bit of socialising and getting to know 'the guys' would be nice.

What previous guilds have you been in, and why did you leave them: for a large part of my leveling levels I was with Vatos Locos, that's one of the largest dutch guilds on The Maelstrom, I still got good contacts with some of the ( ex, as its no raiding guild) members. After I left at 70 to seek raiding I found a guild named Sang Real, it was very new and could use me to raid, so the leader said. However after a few planned raids where practicly nobody showed up I decided to leave, as there was no feature in the guild ( if you do /who sang real its almost always 0 players). then I saw that a PuG only needed 1 holy priest for the raid, the rest was guild, and I decided to join. this is how I met the people from Edible Kill, and since their guild didn't had a holy priest at all, I joined them. It has been my raiding guild to date, although recent issues makes me want to leave. These are things like our guild leader being afk all the raid. Picking a resto druid with 1100 healing over me ( with 1535 ) for the raid and a raid leader wich doesn't know what to do at morroes. Also healing was terribly organised because the raidleader wouldn't tell who would heal who.

What addons/programs do u need to be able to function properly in the guild?
with the recent patch I need to update all my addons. My addons of choice ( for raids ofcourse) where Deadly Boss Mod, X-Perl, Omen, CTRaid and Atlas. Although I'd download addons wich you require for raiders if neccesary.

 Are there eny endgame instances you are not attuned to?
 this question is no longer needed, as Mount Hyal, Karazahn and the Black Temple no longer require an attument.



Please explain how you would play your character when fighting the last boss in Karazhan, Prince Malchezaar).



c) If you are a healer. Please explain which skills/spells you use to maximise your healing on the main tank as well as the other raid members while at the same time managing your mana pool.

 Let's say I am supposed to heal the tank, who makes a normal pull ( with a ranged weapon, no Misdirection etc) First of all I would make sure that the Tank has Prayer of Mending, as this is a relatively cheap heal that heals at the right time for a nice amount. During this time I will move to the position I am suposed to ( although my guild prefered to stay at the door and have prince tanked on the opposite side). Then, I will make sure that the tank is being renewed, this is so that no matter what happens ( I have to run for enfeeble/shadow nova, being interupted by the axes or have to move for an infernal) the tank will receive heals. From this point on I make sure that the tank has Renew all the time and prayer of mending most of the time. The heals I will use new will depend on the situation, do we have a good tank that doesn't take mayor damage ( wich I'll likely see with valhalla) or do we have a lesser one that needs more? in case of a good tank and good fellow-healers I would use Heal (rk.4) This is a heal that heals relatively good ( about 2k) and is VERY mana conservative, it is unlikely I would run OOM like this, thus if anything would go wrong, I have the mana to anticipate. If we had a lesser tank, with lesser fellow healers, I would combine Flash Heal with greater Heal. Obviously the flash heal is for a moderate amount ( average 2.3k 3.4k crit) of health in a sec, and the greater Heal for a large amount ( average 5k  7.2k crit) over a period of time. I used my Inner Focus every 3 mins to great a free heal wich is likely to crit. With Both tanks, I would cast Fecundity during the Axe Phase, to increase their healing received by 150 from all resources. when My mana has dropped to 40%, its time to use Shadowfiend,at a second time on 40% I would use a pot and at the 3th time, I would use Consume Magic. in this order I will almost always have a Cool Down ability ready to use to regen mana in case of an emergency.



Please also post what type of buffs and consumables you would use before and during the fight.

Buffs: ( Excluding Raidbuffs) During Every Fight, I always have all my buffs on. This is for my spell called Consume Magic ( Blood Elf Priest racial ) Having more buffs active means that its less likely to dispell a critical one, like Prayer of Fortitude, and more likely to dispell Inner Fire or Touch of weakness, wich are way less essential ( note that Consume magics only dispells 1 of my own buffs, giving me 678 mana no matter wich buff)

Potions, Elixers, Weapon Oil and Flasks: During the raid I always use Elixer of greater Healingpower ( +50 healing), Elixer of the Sages ( 18 intelect and spirit) and Superior Wizard Oil ( 48 spell damage and healing). although I would replace Elixer of the Sages by a better version for a 25 man raid. Ofcourse if someone would reccomend something better, I would use that.


Pre-Tbc Raiding; Our Roots at GuildLink:

As I was reading the texts you have posted to inform people about your guild I saw that some of the roots of the guild are with Guild Link. This is very interesting, as my very first raids were with Guildlink as well. I was in the guild Shades Of Despair ( wich still exists, led by elegy) With My Troll Rogue called Sryan ( no longer exists ) I had my very first times through ZG, MC and AQ. Although I can't really recall any of the members back then ( except for my ex-guildies) it was nice to raid allong people from Covered in Bees, Dad's Army, Saves The Day and all the others.aww

Good application. Still,lack some gear, and hardly no enchants, almost only green sockets. To me, that shows how much "love" you put into your character. And how much you want out of it.

Its Bigbobo! Not bigbono.


But the Enchants/Gems is so easy to farm. Should get those asap, having everything enchanted and gemmed with correct makes a really good impression;o

Gear is however totally ok, not tiptop tho.

enchants/gems sux if you cant get gold for that, you also dont have gold to bring flasks/pots/food/oils every raid again specially as healer.

A healer need atleast this every raid again:

10 healing elixirs ---------- 25g
10 elixirs of dr wisdom---- 25g
40 Super mana pots------ 60g
10 Golden fishsticks------- 25g
10 mana oils--------------- 25g
Reapair--------------------- 40g

Total------------------------ 200g

If you cant enchant/gem your gear cause you dont have time to grind gold
im sure you wont bring all those pots/oils/food/repair gold every single raid again.

I rly like your apply an that your dutch (ben ik ook ;) but im rly worried that you dont come prepared.

Maybe this helps you out a bit:

Enchants:

Head-------- + 35 healing an 7mp5 (Thrallmar faction reward)
Shoulders---+ 33 healing an 4mp5 (aldor/scryer faction reward)
Leggs--------+ 66 healing an 20 stam (Golden spellthread you can buy from AH)

Chest-------- 6mp5 (ask a enchanter)
Bracers------ 6mp5 Or +30 healing (ask a enchanter)
Shield-------+ 12 int (ask a enchanter)
Gloves------+ 35 healing (ask a enchanter)
Boots-------- vitality (ask a enchanter)

Gems:

Just replace all the green gems with blue ones.

Ok thanks for all the advice guys. But I see my statement is being a bit misunderstood, what I ment was that its a little bit more difficult for me to get money, not a complete imposibillity. I may not have a 80 kill/hour rate as the average hunter, But I am farming the money needed for all the gems and enchants on a little slower pace. And having the money for the raid should not be a problem as well.

Ok dude thats cool.

Sort your gear out in your own time as theres no time limit regarding apps to join, so let us know when youv got some of the gems/enchs ya need and we'll review your app then. We have several JC's + Enchanters in Valhalla so if ya need help with the crafting/enchanting then I'm sure they'll help ya out if ya ask.

very well, Indeed I bought the 66 healing from si :) I also updated a lot of my gems. I only need 2 more gems on my robe for replacement. In the meanwhile I farm Scryer Rep and look for as much HFC heroics as possible for my thrallmar rep. Then I'll start working on getting the enchants.
